LMS Portals provides our clients and partners with a learning management system that allows you to launch and manage multiple private eLearning environments (portals) to support corporate training engagements of any size and for any length of time. The LMS Portals platform includes an eLearning authoring system that allows you to quickly and easily build customized courses to support your corporate training initiatives. Once built, you can then save the course to your LMS Portals Library for re-use across any number of portals that you deploy.
Building Corporate Training Courses in LMS Portals
The LMS Portals platform makes it easy for anyone to build powerful corporate training programs very quickly. The steps for this include:
Assemble Your Content
In working with LMS Portals, you can leverage multiple types of existing content to create your courses. This can include video (which you can upload as MP4 files or link from YouTube or Vimeo); HTML5 content; PDFs; documents and image files.
Build Your Sections
Each course you build can be comprise of any number of Sections. Building Sections allows for a logical progression and segmentation of your courses. Each Section can contain any number of Lessons and Quizzes.
Add Your Lessons
A Lesson is typically a “bite sized” chunk of learning that can be a video (ideally five minutes or less in duration), and HTML5 session, or some type of document (which the system allows to be downloaded for offline work and homework).
Incorporate Quizzes
Adding Quizzes to your courses will help ensure that your students are grasping the learning material. When adding a Quiz, you can choose the minimum score the student must achieve in order to ear a passing grade. Courses are not marked as completed until the student earns a passing grade for each of the quizzes.
Saving Your Courses to the LMS Portals Library
The LMS Portals platform is designed to provide our clients and partners with a highly effective system for creating and delivering customized corporate training programs. A major component of the system with regard to efficiency is the LMS Portals Library. The Library allows our users to save created courses for future use across any number of their deployed portals. Once a course is imported from the Library into a portal, it can then be customized (if needed) to meet the specific needs of that learning engagement.
SCORM Integration
In addition to allowing for the rapid development of corporate training courses within the LMS Portals platform, the system allows you to import SCORM-compliant courses for use within any of your deployed LMS Portals.
Detailed Reporting
Each portal you deploy offers its own analytics engine. This allows you to monitor and report on user engagement, learning activities, and success metrics. This level of detailed reporting can be especially beneficial for our third-party corporate training partners who want to prove the value of their engagement by sharing this critical data with the client.
