Introduced in 1996, HIPAA was created to simplify aspects of healthcare, reduce costs, and protects patient privacy and security. Today, HIPAA plays a dominant role in the US healthcare system as it outlines a wide range of standards and safeguards for the protection of personal and health information of patients.
About this Course
The HIPAA Awareness course introduces participants to the HIPAA rules and regulations and how they impact the operations of a business. And any staff member who deals with health information must receive HIPAA compliance training. This is not an option, it’s a legal rule.
