About CCPA Awareness
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) was created to ensure that organizations have a business purpose regarding their need to collect and store personal information of California residents. The CCPA allows Californians to readily request, delete, or protect their personal information (PI) collected and governed by a business. Under the CCPA, Californians can demand to see the information that is saved on them and how it is shared with third-parties. The law allows consumers to sue companies if the privacy guidelines are violated, even if there is no breach.
