Working with Categories

As an LMS Portals Corporate Administrator, you can add new Categories and Sub-categories to your portal in order to offer effective management and navigation.  

Note: You must first create a Category for a new course before you can save it.

1. After logging in as a Portal Administrator, choose Add New Categories under Categories on the left-hand navigation bar
2. Add  a Category Title..  If it will be a Sub-Category to an existing Category, choose that Parent Category from the dropdown.

Note: You must determine whether the new Category you are adding will be a Parent Category or a Sub-Category under an existing Parent Category

3. Choose a Category icon from the library.  If the new Category is a Parent , select a Thumbnail image to associate with this Parent Category.
Click Submit to save your changes.
